Identifying shapes - Lesson 3+4

There are many shapes.

           

          square                            triangle                                       rectangle                           circle                                           hexagon

• The square has 4 equal sides.
• The triangle has 3 sides.
• The rectangle has 2 equal long sides and 2 equal short sides
• The circle has no sides.

• The hexagon has 6 equal sides.

  Everything we see has a shape:
• The sun is the shape of a circle
• The ruler is rectangle
